Since October, over 500,000 cubic yards of dirt has been moved
in preparation for the hotel and residences. Construction crews
have been hard at work day and night, and the mass grading is now
nearly complete. The resort and first phase of Villa Residences are
expected to be complete by the end of 2018.
“Nothing spectacular is easy to achieve,” Mann comments. “We
appreciate everyone sticking with us to this date and point – it
will be worth it.”
This is the largest undertaking of a new master-planned community
to feature a Ritz-Carlton with Residences in close to a decade.
When valued with the land, construction and sales, the total project
value is estimated to total $2 billion.
The Villas and Estate Homes will be whole-ownership and Ritz-
Carlton branded with services including a dedicated concierge,
priority access to resort amenities, and a host of a la carte
services such as in-residence dining and housekeeping.
The Ritz-Carlton resort will be spread out over 20 acres and boast
North America’s longest resort pool at just over 400 feet, a worldclass
spa with indoor and outdoor treatment areas, health and
fitness center, meeting and event space, a citrus orchard, an herb
garden harvested by the resort’s restaurants, lush walking paths
and a grand lawn with stunning views of Camelback Mountain.
Five Star Development also plans to build ultra-luxury
townhomes and a luxury shopping and dining destination called
The Palmeraie, which is connected to The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise
Valley via lush walking paths. Five Star Development expects to
break ground on The Palmeraie in late 2018 with completion
expected by the end of 2019.
