THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD
A long time coming, The
Ritz-Carlton, Paradise
Valley is almost here
By Andrea Kalmanovitz
Plans have started and halted since the
early 2000s for The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise
Valley master-planned community. Owned
and developed by Five Star Development,
the project spans 122 acres and will
include a 200-room Ritz-Carlton hotel
that will be surrounded by 80 single-level
Villas, and 39 single-family Estate Homes.
This ultra-luxe project hasn’t made it to
this point without obstacles though.
“The creation and execution of a
development of this magnitude has a
number of seen and unforeseen challenges
and we are working through a very
complicated development procedure to
ultimately end up with the best possible
world-class community,” said Jerry Ayoub,
president of Five Star Development.
“Constant improvements are happening
and there will be a significant amount of
activity in the coming months.”
The site, situated in both Scottsdale and
Paradise Valley, is the last large, undeveloped
land parcel within this prestigious area -
and great time and care throughout the
entitlement process went into its planning.
While a long wait, the development is
finally taking shape, and soon future
residents of the community will
“experience the dream they have envisioned
