The museum has an extensive California history collection showcasing the Bay Area and Santa Clara Valley, along with numerous paintings and sculptures. Of the 11,000 objects in its permanent collection, 6,000 are works on paper and photography. The de Saisset is also home to one of the region’s most important video art collections.
