It’s hard to believe that the
holiday season is already
upon us. Not sure where the
summer or fall went this year.
As we start thinking about
Thanksgiving, we would like
to say thank you to our loyal
advertisers and readers. We
are truly thankful to be able to
provide a community magazine
that promotes the local
DEBORAH
LUDLOW STEVENS
businesses, people, places and things that make this
place we call home what it is.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

This month we are featuring
the City of Pinole with our
semi-annual Shop Local,
Shop Pinole special section.
In addition to the local
businesses, Jeff Rubin from the
Pinole Historical Society has
provided two great articles of
interest for this special section.
One is about an actual tornado
that touched down in Pinole
in 1945. And the other about a resident on Quinan
Street who took the time to research where the name
came from. Read on to learn more about these historical
aspects of Pinole.
Also for those of you who are from Pinole, if you have
bits of history or old photos to share, contact Jeff Rubin
at the Pinole Historical Society so that they can be
preserved, shared and remembered for years to come.
Best,
Julia
