Deb’s Dialog
As of this writing, the multiple fires are pretty much under control and
the smoke has finally started to dissipate. Thankfully, the community
of West County was not directly affected with the exception of very
poor air quality. However, I am sure many of us know of people or
friends of friends whom have been touched by this devastation.
One thing it has done is bring more people together as community.
Many people reached out to help in some way. One can only hope
that his continues on well after the fires are extinguished as we head
into the holiday season.
Stay well,
Deborah Stevens
What a month October has been! In the midst of these fires
we have seen so much generosity and the banding of doing
things together for the greater good. It has been so wonderful
to see it first had. One of our readers, Debbie Clemmons sent
in photos that show the generosity of our local Sprouts store in
Pinole where they donated truck loads of food for three days to
deliver to those in need during the fires. Here are some of the
pictures she shared with us. We are grateful that we live in such a
wonderful community!
