10am-6:30pm. “Grab-a-Bag sale” Friends of the Richmond Public Library monthly
grab-a-bag book sale gives everyone the opportunity to support library programs
for children, teens, and adults. Gently used books are on sale in the Friends of the
Library book nook next to the Reference Desk of the Main Library every day the library
is open. As a bonus, on the first Wednesday of the month (except January) buyers
may fill a shopping bag with up to 10 books for the low, low price of $1 per bag.

Bear Tea. Enjoy a special luncheon of tea, petite tea sandwiches, canapés, scones,
and desserts. Children’s activities include a souvenir photo, tea party crafts, and a free
Teddy Bear to take home. Silent auction and raffle. You are encouraged to wear your
favorite tea party attire. Proceeds benefit local charities and non-profits serving our
community. Tickets are $35 adults, $20 children (under age 12). Rockefeller Lodge,

NOVEMBER 4: FILM: SUNDAR SHADI’S GIFTS
10:30am. The Shadi Holiday Display Committee and the El Cerrito Community
Foundation present Sundar Shadi’s Gifts, a film about Sundar Shadi, who created and

NOVEMBER 4: PACKING FOR THE TROOPS
11am-1pm. Come and join Their Angels Military Support Group on the first Saturday of
each month and pack supplies to send to active duty military personnel. Packing items
