SCENE B y J e n n a N i c h o l s o n No Tricks, Just Treats OCT 19 The world-famous Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival draws hordes of visitors to the “World Pumpkin Capital” to view Volkswagen-sized pumpkins and skilled pumpkin sculpting by the “Picasso of pumpkin carvers.” The 45th annual event also features harvest-inspired crafts, fine art, live music, a parade, a zip-line and bungee jump, pie-eating contests and artisanal cocktails. Jack-o-tinis, anyone? When it comes to food, this family friendly festival has it all—from pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin ice cream to more traditional fare like roasted turkey legs, garlic fries and more.
