Cupertino Summer Concert Series
Pack a picnic dinner for this fun outdoor music fest that takes place
Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. CUPERTINO SYMPHONIC BAND performs
on June 7, followed by the scintillating rhythms of ORQUESTA LATIN
HEAT on June 14. Enjoy toe-tapping tunes by THE EMPHATICS on June 21
and LYIN’ I’S on June 28. Then, on July 4, the COCKTAIL MONKEYS will

Redwood City Music on the Square
Redwood City’s Courthouse Square comes alive Friday nights from 6 to 8
p.m. with smokin’ summer sounds. This free summer-long concert series
features a variety of performers playing genres as diverse as jazz, soul,

This “good vibes” concert series celebrates
its “Sweet 16” anniversary by continuing to
feature local artists performing Americana,
blues, zydeco, Dixieland, jazz, big band, roots,
folk and more. Food and cash donations for
the Second Harvest Food Bank are welcome.
Concerts take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturdays.

Friday Night Bands on the Beach
Friday nights sizzle at the Santa Cruz Beach
Boardwalk during this festive annual event.
Each band performs twice per night, at 6:30
and 8:30 p.m. Bop to ’80s hits with BERLIN
FEATURING TERRI NUNN on June 15, dance to
“La Bamba” with LOS LOBOS June 29, ascend to musical “Heaven” with
LOS LONELY BOYS on July 20 and rock the night away to the assorted
lineup of popular performers throughout this perennial summer series.

The 100 block of South Murphy Avenue in Sunnyvale heats up on
Wednesday nights with music ranging from ’70s funk favorites to today’s

Jazz on the Plazz
Cool off on hot summer nights in
Los Gatos with the most talented
jazz “cats” in town. Honoring Ella

Campbell Summer Concert Series
Rock out on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8
p.m. in historic downtown Campbell all summer
long. The series kicks off on June 21
with classic rock by THE HITMEN. Cover band
PHIL N’ THE BLANKS plays all your faves
on July 12. THE JOHNNY NERI BAND will get
you on your feet with soulful rock ’n’ roll on
Aug. 9. Proceeds from food and drink sales
benefit the Campbell Museum Foundation.

Stern Grove Festival
The 81st Stern Grove Festival kicks off with a ticketed event, The Big
Picnic, on June 17, followed by a free performance by two of America’s
most lauded R&B/soul sensations, PEABO BRYSON & JEFFREY OSBORNE.
Admission-free concerts featuring some of the biggest local and international
acts will continue every Sunday at 2 p.m. through Aug. 7 at the
outdoor amphitheater, located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in
Santana Row Summer Music Series
The Summer Music series is back and ready to groove every Tuesday
in July from 6–8pm for free live music. Bring your blanket,
lawn chair or inflatable bean bag and bask in the sound of
music in Park Valencia. On July 3rd THE DAWDLERS play
a set inspired by the avalanche of great pop music with a
provenance from Britain and the Commonwealth ever since
The Beatles invaded. On July 10th, Bay Area native talent
ANDRE THIERRY will wow crowds with his virtuoso skills on
all the accordion types, single row, double row, triple row
and piano key. July 17th brings DEEP BLUE JAM band, founded
by veteran musicians Lorin Rowan and Kirk Casey, to the
stage, and on July 24 KINGSBOROUGH adds an electric buzz
to the event with their modern twist on classic-soulful rock
n’ roll. The series wraps up on July 31 with eclectic group
RÚCKATAN, playing a musical mashup of Latin, reggae and
