EGGS Veggielution Farm Manager Colleen Hotchkiss knows eggs. The local organic yolks she serves are bright orange, not pale yellow, with way more depth of flavor. A nonprofit urban farm in Emma Prusch Farm Park in San Jose, Veggielution carries eggs from its own hens at its farm stand on Saturdays at 10 a.m.; they sell out fast. You can also find fresh eggs at Full Circle Farm in Sunnyvale, and at Farmers’ Markets around the area. February/March 2016 93 FROM TOP: MISUK PARK; LINDA A. CICERO/STANFORD NEWS SERVICE FOOD TRUCKS Welcome to America’s newest food institution, the Moveable Feast. The surge of gourmet food trucks shows no signs of slowing down. Where to find them? Just Google companies that organize events, like Moveable Feast or Off The Grid, on social media (mvblfeast. com, offthegridsf.com). One of the first trucks to motor into Northern California was MoGoBBQ, a Korean- Mexican fusion concept that blends the idea of burritos, tacos and quesadillas with short ribs, spicy pork and kimchi fried rice. Follow MoGo (Korean for “to eat”) on Twitter to find the latest location (@MoBoBBQ). DIM SUM Maybe we should rename our neck of the woods Dim Sum Valley—those perfect little pouches of savory goodness proliferate as a South Bay specialty. Everyone has his or her favorite. Two that top our picks are Dynasty Chinese Seafood in Cupertino and Dim Sum King in Sunnyvale. Other favorites include Ocean Delight Seafood in San Jose, and Fu Lam Mum in Mountain View.
