But that all changed when she was asked to perform her heartwrenching song “Jar of Hearts” on the TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Fast forward to today and it is hard to turn on the radio without hearing one of her powerful anthems that she wrote to help “make people feel less broken and alone.” On May 20, the tattooed 27-year-old will visit San Francisco.
