SELLING LUXURY ARIZONA This summary looks at single-family homes over $500,000 in all areas of the Northeast Valley, including Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia, Biltmore, Cave Creek, Carefree, Fountain Hills and Rio Verde. The luxury real estate market is gradually waking from its summer siesta, and while supply and sales are slow to pick up, the number homes under contract tells me that it won’t be long before the market is back in full swing. Broader improvements in the market remain slow and steady, and the year-over-year increases from 2014 continue across the board. Supply The number of active listings continued to dwindle through August, likely a result of closed transactions and an absence of new listings to replenish supply. We expect inventory to pick up further into the fall as homeowners bring their properties back from private or being temporarily off the market, and prospective sellers who have been waiting out the heat decide to finally list their homes.
