Dr. McClure has served as teacher, team leader, mentor and volunteer surgeon for ReSurge for more than thirty years. In 1989, six years before the U.S. established diplomatic relations with Vietnam, Dr. McClure ventured to Vietnam on behalf of ReSurge and helped establish ReSurge’s program in that country. Since then, six thousand Vietnamese children have received more than eight thousand surgical procedures thanks to Dr. McClure’s patients in need.
