Andrew Zaslove Get to Know… 26 www.nAPAVA L L E Y L I F Emagaz ine. c om Andrew Zaslove is the youngest of the Zaslove clan, who own Japaneseinspired cuisine restaurant Eiko’s in downtown Napa. Andrew recently graduated from California State University Humboldt, where he majored in Outdoor Recreation and Business. During his school breaks and summers he helped out in his parents’ business. Earlier this year he came on full-time at Eiko’s as a floor manager and to run their newly established catering business. Andrew is responsible for designing, marketing and implementing the new Eiko’s catering van as well as creating the to-go and catering menu. The idea is for Eiko’s to bring great modern Japanese cuisine out of downtown Napa and to the customer. Whether it’s a pick-up or delivery sushi platter or a full-catered event, Andrew is your contact to make it happen. According to his sister Allison Hallum, General Manager, having Andrew run the catering division of the restaurant gives him a side of the business that Andrew can put his own personal touch on. Having him home has been a great help for her at the restaurant. Andrew is also a nationally acclaimed rock climber and climbing instructor. Cooking with fresh vegetables that he grows himself is also a passion. If you don’t see Andrew at the restaurant or climbing a rock wall, you will probably find him driving the new Eiko’s catering van, picking up fresh vegetables or delivering the Eiko’s experience to someone directly.
