THE AGE OF BLACK POWER
6pm. Soul of a Nation is an internationally acclaimed
exhibition which “celebrates art made by Black artists
during two pivotal decades when issues of race and
identity dominated and defined both public and private
discourse.” Join us for a presentation on the exhibit with
a docent from the de Young museum – including a focus
on Bay Area artists whose work “promoted personal and
cultural pride, collective solidarity and empowerment, and
