The 23rd Annual Culinary Caper, drawing sell-out crowds year after year, is set again to raise funds for nearby local charities that serve West Contra Costa’s most disadvantaged citizens. Soroptimist International of Richmond, a growing group of local, hardworking, philanthropic, professional women, will host “Culinary Caper-Annual Chef Show & Wine Tasting” on Sunday, April 24th, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Rockefeller Lodge, located at 2650 Market Avenue, San Pablo. The “Caper” is renowned for food and beverages from some of the finest restaurants, bakeries, wineries, and breweries in the Bay Area. But that’s only the beginning! While tasting, guests have a chance to bid on silent auction items offered throughout the event which has featured hand-crafted jewelry, wood-crafted furniture, tickets, adventures, extraordinary plants, paintings and high-quality gift baskets. You just can’t match the ambiance of wine and food-tasting while shopping in the idyllic gardens of the Rockefeller Lodge.
