Just four square miles with fewer than 650 residents, picturesque Pescadero is easy to bypass, yet rewarding if you give it your attention. Boasting a proud Portuguese heritage, it’s a working person’s town with farms, momand pop shops, and its own versions of cottage industries tucked inside rustic buildings. Many of the buildings in town date from the 19th century. Fog, sand and farm stands abound. STAY If “glamping” (roughing it in luxury) is on your bucket Costanoa Lodge & Camp, Pescadero
