Adelita’s Taqueria Restaurant and Bar (1896 Curtner Ave., San Jose) offers weekday specials, Monday through Friday, that come with two sides and soup, for $5.45. For example, on Wednesdays Adelita’s offers a regular chicken or pork burrito, served with salsa, beans, chips and soup. Happy Hour is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the same days, with all drinks offered at 25 percent off. The menu will make everyone in your party happy, including any vegetarians or vegans. Adelita’s menu includes the “Vegan Corner;” the restaurant uses organic tofu, quinoa, black beans and vegetables in its traditional Mexican entrees. Yuki Sushi has two locations (1140 Lincoln Ave., Suite 8, Willow Glen, and 1827 Pruneridge Ave., Santa Clara), where regulars keep coming back for their favorite sushi rolls offered at affordable prices. You can order sushi a la carte, but you can also order entrees of traditional Japanese teriyakis, tempuras, noodles, and more, or combination plates; entrees and combinations come with miso soup, salad and rice. Sunny Bowl (1477 Plymouth St., “C,” Mountain View) calls itself a “well being Korean restaurant,” and encourages diners to “eat five colors a day.” Every bowl comes with steamed jasmine rice, green and red cabbage, cucumber, radishes and carrots, lettuce and tomato, with kimchi served on the side. Top the bowl with meat or vegetables for a complete meal. Hot pots made with cooked vegetables are also on the menu. Meat and seafood topping choices include beef, Kalbi (Korean barbecue short ribs), chicken, shrimp, or tuna. Dine-in customers are also served miso soup. Zareen’s (1477 Plymouth Dr, #C, Mountain View, and 365 S. California Ave., Palo Alto), is a contemporary Pakistani and Indian restaurant that makes its food “with love and integrity.” Both locations offer specials on weekends of savory entrees served in generous portions, like the Sabri Beef Nihari, a slow roasted stew featuring Harris Ranch beef. The Palo Alto location offers brunch specials, like the Masala Omelet-Kabab-Paratha Brunch, that comes with a three-egg omelet, potato cutlets, and chicken or beef kababs.
