Here are some great choices near shopping areas, so you don’t have to move your car (again). Along Santana Row, right across the street from the Valley Fair mall, you’ll find great deals on tasty plates at a variety of establishments. Left Bank’s daily happy hour (3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to closing), includes $7 Tarte Flambées (think flatbread pizza), $6 sliders, or a half order of steamed mussels for $10. Roots and Rye (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; all night on Wednesdays) offers $6 appetizers, including mac ‘n cheese, and the pork belly sliders. The Yard House (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 p.m. to closing, Sunday through Wednesday) has a lineup of tasty appetizers ranging from $5 to $8. Stanford Shopping Center restaurants also offer great happy hour deals, like those at Yucca de Lac, an upscale Cantonese eatery, which serves up $6 appetizers (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday).
