But as these three gifted South Bay artists—painter, woodsmith and sculptor—have shown over the past few decades, not all cool, trendy, substantial creations require touch screens and data centers. In today’s techie-dominated Silicon Valley, where coders, engineers and entrepreneurs receive most of the credit for innovation, this trio takes simple, everyday materials—paint, wood and clay—and turns them into beautiful and thoughtful pieces for which each artist has earned numerous local and national accolades.
