South Bay Accent - Apr/May 2016

AS APRIL’S SUNSHINE STRETCHES THE DAYLIGHT HOURS, flower seeds push up from the earth and unleash themselves in a bright-hued frenzy. Is it any wonder that nothing says “spring” quite like the dazzle of colorful flowers popping up in grassy meadows, along roadsides or under a canopy of trees? They promise that winter’s drab short days are over, and they carry a cheery message: Come outside and witness the splendors of this changing season for yourself. In the South Bay, those flowery spectacles are abundant but fleeting. Procrastinators take note: The peak bloom time is now, so lace up your boots and go. SiWildflower de HENRY W.
