“The Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley areas were always ones I wanted to do,” says Escribano. “Leslie and I have had a steep learning curve as far as what works and what areas to focus on, and we believe yours is a great area to be in.” WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FALL The appraisal day will most likely take place in late September, according to Roskind. She anticipates being able to obtain pieces for either a December or April sale, though not all property must necessarily be consigned right away. “I recently had an appraisal in Carmel where a woman told me about a bracelet she had. That was a year ago, and I think she is now consigning it to the upcom-ing October sale.” Roskind and Escribano will be offering written auction estimates to clients at no charge, though insurance and IRS appraisals at a fee may also be a possibility. v MAKE AN APPOINTMENT If you are interested in consigning or obtaining an estimate on jewelry, please contact Leslie Roskind at (310) 385-2665 or at LRoskind@christies.com for more detailed information.
