No movie theater is complete without a full lobby and concession area 22 In the entry rotunda, twin curved staircases draw your eye upward to a 28 foot coffered dome ceiling, engineered to reduce the echo in the room. A stairway bridge above the rotunda connects the upstairs master and secondary bedroom wings and offers an unobstructed view of Four Peaks. Continuing into the north wing, you find a bright and spacious formal living room with one of many antique marble fireplaces and a wall of glass overlooking the grounds. An attached “water room” is one of the most unique spaces in the home. With curved glass walls surrounded on three sides by undulating water features with vertical sprays and a waterfall, the room gives a tranquil effect that is perfect for moments of quiet reflection or relaxation. Custom seamless carpeting was designed to resemble waves, adding to the serene atmosphere, while a silver leaf ceiling inset provides a touch of elegance. The theater is a perfect gathering place. Custom designed by renowned New York theater designer Theo Kalomirakis, this exceptionally appointed screening room is more than your average home theater. Reclining velvet seats accommodate 12 people, while the 12-foot screen, 3-D projector, and surround sound provide an unrivaled viewing experience. Beautiful sapele wood pillars and accents and a twinkling “starry sky” ceiling round out the unique atmosphere of the room. After a film, you and your guests can enjoy thoughtful discussion in the theater lobby, which features a snack bar with refrigerator drawers, a dishwasher, icemaker, wine refrigerator and a separate freezer for ice cream and other frozen treats. Continuing along the beautiful gallery hallways, complete with museum standard lighting for displaying your favorite art, you enter into the main home office and library. This stately wood paneled room showcases stunning cherry wood shelving and a gold leaf coffered ceiling. A wall of glass overlooks one of the property’s many water features and offers separate access to a quiet outdoor patio surrounded by lushly planted gardens.
