Editor’s letter While it’s quite obvious that I’m the editor of this small section of Napa Valley Life, what may be less apparent is that I’m also the Wine Country Director for McEvoy Media, currently the most influential medium in San Francisco. What makes the properties of McEvoy extremely successful is that they are by and of their target market, and an intimate part of the culture and experiences they cover, and as worthy of news as they are of covering it. Napa Valley Life has long been an asset to the wine country, telling the stories and influenc- ing the culture that surrounds our intoxicating lifestyle. But now we’re going to take it a step further... While we’ll continue to report, sponsor, promote, and indulge in all that this valley has to offer, we’re now going to become an institution and influencer on which others will report and about which others will tell stories.
