She is also now an expert on the Affordable Care Act and was inspired to create a guidebook to aid individuals and employers how to navigate through the legislation and become compliant. “When the Affordable Care Act passed and the Supreme Court ruled,” Mlynar explains, “it was clear the insurance industry was undergoing a revolutionary change.” Her journey began several years earlier, when Mlynar decided to stop relying on what others were saying about the law and start by reading the law, all 2,500 pages of it. But the simplicity ends here! Currently the law is nearly 40,000 pages and is expected to reach 200,000 pages by 2019.
