With harvest in full swing, and stories around Napa and Sonoma mostly the same–pick, press, repeat–I decided to leave my local friends alone and hit the road. My adventure took me to two cutting-edge wine destination hot spots that are on the verge of exploding onto the tourist scene and top travel destination lists. This is the first INK on the Road, but not the last, and I’ll be looking to you to help find future destinations. Until then: Travel blindly into the wild, dance without restraint, learn new languages, and plan to make mistakes. And then take a vacation.
