Why I’m Supporting the Queen Kenzo Tsujimoto Every Napa resident deserves world-class health care. NOV E M B E R / D E C E M B E R 2 0 1 3 11 • Owner, Kenzo Estate Winery • CEO, Capcom Co., LTD. • Part-time Napa Valley Resident As the CEO of Capcom Co., Ltd, I often visited California on business. During this time I had many opportunities to taste numerous Napa wines.  I gradually became enchanted and convinced that the Napa Valley was the best place to produce the world’s top quality wines. I decided I wanted to become a part of this special place, so after years of preparation, I opened my own winery, Kenzo Estate, in 2009. The winery is situated on 3,800 acres on the slopes of Mt. George. With nearly 100 acres dedicated to vineyards, the remainder of the property is maintained as a breathtaking nature preserve. In building the winery, I was careful to employ the same management philosophy I’ve used to build my Osaka-based company into one of the world’s most successful video game publishers — invest in the best talent and state-ofthe art technologies. Let’s not waste a moment. Visit www.queensfoundation.org or call (707) 257-4044. I also believe that organizations have a special obligation to give back to the communities that contribute to their success. This is particularly true when it comes to quality health care. That’s why I’m supporting Queen of the Valley Foundation with a gift of $1 million. The funds will be used to create the Kenzo Healing Garden. Located at the center of the new Herman Family Pavilion, the garden will provide a tranquil, outdoor space for caregivers and for patients recovering from surgery or dealing with a life-threatening illness. The garden is designed to stimulate the therapeutic restorative powers inherent in both body and mind. I encourage you to join me with a donation toward the completion of this wonderful new facility, because every Napa resident deserves world-class health care.
