BLACK STALLION New wines and varietals, tastings for locals, and events at Black Stallion Estate Winery MAY / J U N E 2 0 1 4 79 This year Black Stallion Estate Winery is adding some new wines and varietals to its portfolio. This month, they will be releasing a beautiful Pinot Noir from the Los Carneros appellation. In spring, the winery will be introducing a Zinfandel from Howell Mountain. Only 400 cases of each of these Limited Reserve wines have been crafted. Most will be allocated to the Black Stallion Wine Club; however, a small portion will be available for wine tastings at the winery. Upcoming Black Stallion Estate Events include a Lobster Feed in June, an All-You-Can-Eat Barbeque on July 12, a Zinfandel Dinner on August 23, Harvest Open House on October 4, and the hugely popular Holiday Open House & Art Show on December 6. In April, Black Stallion Estate Winery began “Napa Neighbor Sunday.” Every other Sunday, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm, the winery will have a special complimentary offering for Napa County residents. Each Napa Neighbor Sunday will feature a different offering, including an olive oil tasting, special reserve wine experiences and more. More information about events and Black Stallion wines can be found at the winery’s website or by calling 707-227-3250. The Black Stallion Estate Winery Visitor Center is open daily from 10 am – 5 pm, with no appointment necessary. The on-site Concierge is always available to arrange private tastings, and winery tours, or to accommodate larger groups. In addition, Black Stallion offers several venues on the Estate that can be reserved for private events. Black Stallion Estate Winery is part of the Oak Knoll District. The name Black Stallion pays homage to the rich history of the 32-acre estate, which was once home to the Silverado Horseman’s Center. With the olive-tree-lined drive, impressive black stallion sculpture and meticulously landscaped gardens, the majestic estate of Black Stallion Winery is visually spectacular. Open Daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., no appointment necessary. 707-227-3250, www.blackstallionwinery.com, info@blackstallionwinery.com winery plans summer FUN
