MAY / J U N E 2 0 1 4 67 This space is devoted to — appropriately enough —the humans of Napa Valley. Photographer Bob McClenahan will be taking his trusty Nikon camera on an adventure each issue. It might be a theme, a place, or an idea, but the goal is to photograph interesting people going about their everyday Napa Valley lives. For this premiere session, he walked around downtown Napa for an hour and photographed some humans of Napa Valley. Sarah and John are basking in the winter sun at Veterans Memorial Park. They were “discussing” John’s desire to purchase a new bike. His argument was that a new bike would save them money, because he wouldn’t have to purchase so much gas. Her retort was that he could buy a whole lot of gas with the money a new bike costs. Businessman-about-town Brian Kelly enjoys lunch at Tarla Mediterranean Restaurant. Mr. Kelly is the Consulting CEO for the Napa Chamber of Commerce as well as a CEO coach and parttime CFO with his company, Brian Kelly and Associates. Didier Loustau is really savoring his Marlboro Light outside his company’s studio. Didier is the founder and president of ToutSuite Social Club, an online interactive video producer. Amid the hubbub of the Oxbow Public Market, a visitor takes a look at a text message on his smart phone.
