Thank you for sharing in our vision of doing something good for those with the greatest need. Wrap it all up in the sweeping beauty of our vineyard vistas and something truly magical will take place. The transformation of good times into good works is perhaps the most amazing aspect of the Auction, with more than $120 million donated to date to nonprofits in Napa County. Thanks to the generosity of our bidders, vintners and community volunteers, every child in Napa County has access to health insurance; more than 30,000 residents are served annually by Community Health Clinic Ole; and our commitment to helping close the academic achievement gap in our community is closer to being achieved. This year, Auction Napa Valley is co-chaired by two families, and we are honored to carry on the collaborative spirit that first drew a handful of vintners together 70 years ago, when the Napa Valley Vintners was founded, and again in 1981, when the first Napa Valley Wine Auction was born. Auction Napa Valley is a family affair: from the majority of participating wineries being family owned, to the families throughout Napa County who derive strength and support from Auction funding, to the extended family of friends, who by attending and volunteering for Auction Napa Valley set the evergreen effects of generosity in motion. We are deeply rooted to the land here, and it is a privilege and a pleasure—to say nothing of just plain fun!—to share both Napa Valley’s dynamic dazzle and relaxed down-home sides with guests from around the world and our neighbors throughout the community.
