Black Stallion Winery hosts many events throughout the year and it is always a pleasure to have Napa Neighbors join the fun. This year the Annual BBQ will be held Saturday, July 13 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event features Black Stallion wines paired with delicious barbequed delights prepared on-site by Texas Back Forty BBQ. Their famous slow-smoked beef brisket is a guest favorite and this event gets more popular each year. Please call the winery at 707- 227-3249 for more information. Mark your calendar for August 24, when Black Stallion Winery hosts a dinner featuring their Zinfandel wines from three different and very distinct growing regions paired with each course throughout the dinner. “Zinfandel Under the Stars” is a perfect event for Zinfandel fanatics or anyone who enjoys the art of wine and food pairing. The dinner is from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and seating is limited. For information or tickets, please call 707- 227-3249. The Black Stallion visitor center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with no appointment necessary. Tastings fees range from $15 to $30 plus Black Stallion offers a Napa Neighbor price to local patrons. An on-site concierge is always available to arrange private tastings, winery tours or to accommodate larger groups. In addition, Black Stallion Winery offers several venues on the estate that can be reserved for private events. Black Stallion Winery offers a perfect balance of red and white wines as well as Rosé and Muscat. Most of the wines at Black Stallion Winery are crafted in very small case lots and are available only at the Winery. Several wines have earned Gold Medal honors at some of this state’s well- respected wine competitions. The 2008 Black Stallion Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon earned a Gold Medal, Double Gold, Best of Class, and the Best of Show Red at the Sommelier Challenge International Wine Competition. Black Stallion Winery is located within the Oak Knoll District. It’s name pays homage to the rich history of the 32-acre estate, which was once home to the Silverado Horsemans Center. With the olive tree-lined drive, impressive black stallion sculpture and meticulously landscaped gardens, the majestic estate of Black Stallion Winery is visually spectacular.
