Napa Valley Life magazine was co-founded by Kari Ruel and Jim Brumm. In 2005, Brumm left the magazine to pursue a music and book publishing career. Many people have asked what he’s been up to, and now you can read his latest book, Long Term Thinking for a Short-Sighted World. It’s an excellent look at what happens when we don’t take into consideration the future ramifications of today’s choices. This is a must-read book for anyone who wants to lead a more sustainable life. (Read more about it on page 51.) Do you know a family that is working together for a more sustainable harvest this fall? If so, email kari@napavalleylifemagazine.com. We want to tell their story.
