Why We’re Supporting the Queen Michael, Marcia & Tim Mondavi Every Napa resident deserves world-class health care. Seventy years ago, our grandparents settled in the Napa Valley and began a tradition of winemaking excellence we continue today. From our grandfather’s formative years leading Charles Krug, to the founding of Robert Mondavi Winery, Opus One, and our wines produced today under Continuum and Michael Mondavi Family Estate, the Mondavi family has always been proud to be part of the Napa Valley community. We feel a sense of responsibility for this Valley that has contributed to our success. Part of that responsibility is to do what we can to ensure that every resident in our community has access to the best possible healthcare. Queen of the Valley Medical Center has played a central role in the health of our community since its founding in 1953. There is scarcely a family in the Valley, including our own, whose lives haven’t been positively touched by “the Queen.” With the help and support of Napa residents, the Queen has built and maintained a state-ofthe art facility that, in turn, has attracted a staff Let’s not waste a moment. But the best care is expensive and medical costs are increasing every day. We all must do our part to ensure that this world-class care will always be there when we need it. That’s why we’ve decided to continue our family tradition of support with a donation of $1 million to the Queen. These funds will be used to create the “Marjorie Mondavi Center for Intensive Care” in the new Herman Family Pavilion, honoring our mother, whose own life was marked by a caring spirit and generosity towards others. We encourage you to make a donation and continue our community’s proud tradition of giving. Because in a time of medical crisis, where would we be without the Queen? • Vintners • Visionaries • Philanthropists • Napa Valley Residents
