September 13: BARBECUE FOR THE TROOPS 11am-3pm. The Pinole Community & Military Support Corporation and the City of Pinole will sponsor this event honoring our troops. Tickets are $20 and include New York steak for adults and hamburgers and hot dogs (plus sides, drinks, and dessert) for children under 8. Proceeds from ticket sales will provide meals for 50 or more soldiers and their spouses and children. All funds raised over the total cost of the event will be donated to Civic Assets, a local program that assists soldiers with PTSD.
