2015 Solano avenue Stroll 28 MARKETPLACEcontrac osta .com september 2015 Solano Avenue invites you to the 41st Annual Solano Avenue Stroll Sunday, September 13 2015. Admission is FREE. Parade at 10am and the event ends at 6 p.m. In addition to being able to browse the vast array of shops, restaurants and professional services who call Solano Avenue home, the Stroll is host to 50 food booths, 50 entertainers, 150 arts and crafts booths, mechanical rides, pony rides, and over 150 non-profit community and government organizations. Simply put, this is a one-of-a-kind, family-focused experience that is worth checking out. The Solano Avenue Stroll is produced by the Solano Avenue Association (SAA). The SAA Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer business owners on Solano Avenue. Their main goals are to both enhance and promote this diverse business district in Albany and Berkeley. The SAA aims to heighten community identity, spirit and involvement through marketing and events. This non-profit organization and its annual program of free community events have grown over the years. Other annual events produced by Photo by Doug Donaldson the SAA include Santa on Solano (a free photo opportunity with Santa), and a Lunar New Year program in February – though the Solano Avenue Stroll remains their flagship event.
