HERCULES PUBLIC LIBRARY CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY It seemed as if the waiting would never end. First it was the planning, then the fundraising, and then the construction and the moving in process. Finally, the Hercules Public Library opened its doors on November 6, 2006. People from all surrounding areas streamed in and they have never stopped (about 3,000 visits per week). There was a small setback in 2011 when Sunday hours were lost but, through fundraising and generous donors, Monday through Saturday hours remained constant. Now, we are set to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Hercules Public Library. The celebration actually began in February with the “Celebrate the Heart of Hercules” fundraising
