MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN RICHMOND A Directory of Nonprofit Organizations Through its “Think Local” campaign, initiated in 2010, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce encourages West County residents and businesses to “shop, hire, dine, give” in ways that most benefit our community. As part of this campaign, this “Give Local” directory serves as a guide for donors and volunteers who want to support our tremendously dedicated and hard-working nonprofit organizations during this holiday season. These are the organizations that, every day of the year, help teach our children, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and train the unemployed. They care for our parks, community centers and cultural institutions. They change lives daily by turning dreams of a well-paying job, a peaceful neighborhood, a college education – even selfexpression through the arts – into reality. Listed below are nonprofit organizations, all members of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, committed to these efforts. We invite you to support them financially, and to contact them by phone or online to see how you can support their programs. With your help, working together, they can continue to make a difference in our lives, and the lives of our neighbors.
