As a lifetime member of this active organization, I wanted to know more about the group’s current and future plans for our communities. So here’s a series of questions I asked her. JOJO: How long had the FACCC, Inc. been in existence? VICKY: FACCC, Inc. was incorporated on December 5, 1975 when the filing of our Articles of Incorporation was endorsed-filed by the Secretary of the State of California. Since that time, we have been registered with the U.S. Treasury, Internal Revenue Service as Non-profit Organization. JOJO: What is the mission vision statement of the group? FACCC Mission and Objectives: To initiate social, recreational and educational programs, to promote the physical and social well-being of the Filipino American Community: To initiate programs intended to preserve cultural heritage of the Filipino people. To acquire a permanent Filipino-American community center in the Contra Costa County, through funding from city, county, state and federal governments or private corporations and individuals, to carry out work-skills programs and other services for disadvantaged immigrants and residents, where members can gather. To provide assistance to members who are in need. To cooperate with other organizations, public or private, in order to accomplish their objectives. JOJO: How many members do we have? VICKY: Currently we have 85 Lifetime members and 101 Regular Members. JOJO: What was last year’s community event that the group organized? VICKY: Fil-Ams participated at the clean-up day in
