But I can’t say I mind this year. We sure need the rain and I hope it continues into the spring. The hills around here are certainly at their prettiest, covered in green, and my garden is loving it. Even if the wet weather continues, it looks like there will be a little less rain in my future. My daughter and her family Deborah ludlow Stevens are relocating from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California. I am looking forward to the shorter travel time and sunnier holiday visits. Thank you this month to all our readers and advertisers, and in particular to the city and businesses of San Pablo who have contributed to our annual “Explore San Pablo” section (page 20). Wishing you a healthy and prosperous month, whatever the weather! Deborah This is the third year we have devoted a section of our March issue to San Pablo. Each year we see more examples of how the city and its residents invest in their community, making it a better place. As we reported a few months ago, San Pablo was recently named one of 10 All-America Cities by the National Civic League, who called it a city “whose citizens work together to identify and tackle community-wide challenges and achieve uncommon results.” Congratulations again for that award, and thank you for your support of our “Explore San Pablo” section. With March comes the first day of spring, a time for new beginnings. The West Contra Costa School District starts registration later this month for their enriching Adult Education programs in a wide range of subject areas. Now just might be the time to enhance your job skills or pursue new interests. More information is on page 61. Thank you for reading Marketplace.
