June 18: Chocolate Extravaganza & Chocolate Contest at Christ the Lord Church 7-9pm. Come to the Chocolate Extravaganza at Christ the Lord Church for tables laden with delicious chocolate creations, a chocolate fountain, and beautiful music. The sixth annual Chocolate Extravaganza benefits Christ the Lord Church and the West County Consortium of the Arts, an after school program for high school students. Tickets are $25 in advance ($12 for ages 6-12; free for under 6). (Early bird discount of $20 and $10 if purchased from the church by June 12.) This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure. The Mad Scientist will make a hot air balloon. A vortex generator to create giant smoke rings. June 22: FIRST GENERATION FARMERS 10:30-12:30pm. First Generation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate food access from and for the local community while conserving natural resources, providing public education, access to open space and promoting beginning farmers, ranchers and agripreneurs. Come join us and you can pet and feed live goats and chickens, plant take home plants in a cup, color at the coloring station and dig for worms in our worm bin! A silent auction will include children’s art and gift baskets from far and wide, and there will be dance music by Bright Moment, the Manny Cruz Jazz Band.
