Chef’s by Julia Smith, General Manager & Editor in Chief No Bake Chocolate Ganache Tart Makes 12 servings, 15 minutes prep time. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight WHAT YOU’LL NEED: • 1 pkg (9 oz) Nabisco Famous chocolate wafers • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted • 9 oz. milk chocolate, chopped • 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped • ¾ cup heavy cream • 6 strawberries, sliced DIRECTIONS: In a food processor, add the wafers and blend until they come fine crumbs. Add butter and process until blended. Press into the bottom of 5x14 inch removable bottom tart pan or a pie pan- depending on your preference. Freeze while preparing filling. Place 8 oz. milk chocolate and the bitter sweet chocolate in a bowl. In a small pot, heat the cream to just over steaming and pour over chocolate. This will melt the chocolate. Whisk until smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crust and top with strawberries or other fruit of choice (raspberries, apricots, etc.). You can also add roasted slivered almonds, pecans or pistachios to add some nuttiness to it as well. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Melt remaining milk chocolate and drizzle over tart. Garnish with mint leaves.
