Soroptimist International of Richmond will present its feature fundraiser, the “24rd Annual Culinary Caper Annual Chef Show & Wine Tasting”, on Sunday, April 30th, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. in the beautiful gardens of historic Rockefeller Lodge, located at 2650 Market Avenue, San Pablo. The “Caper”, drawing sell-out crowds year after year, is renowned for food and beverages from some of the finest restaurants, bakeries, wineries, and breweries in the Bay Area. While tasting, guests have a chance to bid on silent auction items featuring high-quality gift baskets, handcrafted jewelry, wood-crafted furniture, paintings, and extraordinary plants. The live auction offerings include dream vacation getaways, premium tickets to events, golf packages, and unique catered parties. Proceeds benefit local charities that serve West Contra Costa’s most disadvantaged citizens. Last year Soroptimist International of Richmond awarded grants totaling $41,000, supporting needed services such as after school activities, programs for health and education, programs benefiting seniors, disabled people, the homeless, and abused women and children.
